Artist's Statement
"Painting is an expression of the mind. It is constantly evolving to evoke
feelings of the moment. I am inspired by nature. Creating an image that shares experiences with the viewer is my lifelong passion. The reward is in captivating their attention and enabling them to make the visions their own."
Karen’s vibrant paintings depict scenes from her travels and local surroundings. Her impressionistic style captures the essence of her landscapes, seascapes, and gardens. The luminosity of her watercolors is achieved through a series of transparent glazes. She also paints large contemporary abstracts and mixed media works on canvas.
